JAKARTA, BERITALAGI.COM– Setelah tiga tahun vakum dari industri musik tanah air, Trio GAC, , akhirnya kembali dengan gebrakan baru. Melalui single berbahasa Inggris berjudul “Higher,” mereka menghadirkan sebuah karya bernuansa Pop R&B Ballad yang tidak hanya menggugah perasaan tetapi juga memperkenalkan era musik yang kini jarang terdengar.
Lagu ini merupakan buah tangan terbaru Gamaliel, Audrey dan Cantika setelah merilis empat karya sebelumnya, dan menjadi bagian dari album keempat yang sedang mereka persiapkan.
“Higher” adalah sebuah balada yang bercerita tentang merelakan kepergian seseorang yang dicintai, meskipun rasa cinta itu masih sangat besar. Dengan harmoni dan melodi yang kuat serta vokal khas GAC, lagu ini tidak hanya menghibur tetapi juga menyentuh hati para pendengarnya.
‘Lagu ini bercerita tentang cinta yang kuat banget, kita mengira dialah yang akan menemani kita selamanya sebagai sepasang kekasih, namun ternyata gagal karena satu hal yang menyakitkan,”kata Cantika.
Gamaliél, salah satu anggota trio, mengungkapkan kerinduan mereka akan era pop ballad R&B 90-an dan awal 2000-an yang kini sudah jarang terdengar. Untuk mewujudkan impian tersebut, mereka menggandeng Aldi Nada Permana sebagai produser dan ROF, sahabat mereka, dalam penulisan lirik.
“Kami kangen banget sama lagu-lagu ballad R&B di masa itu, yang sekarang sudah jarang terdengar”, ungkap Gamaliel.
Single ini adalah langkah awal GAC dalam memperkenalkan perjalanan musik baru mereka. Selain “Higher,” GAC juga telah merilis tiga lagu lainnya, yaitu “Baru,” “Really Really Want,” dan “The Way You Move,” sejak tahun lalu.
